Social Media & Communications Assistant (Part-time)

About the position
We are looking for a Social Media & Communications Assistant from Aug 1, 2024. The assistant is responsible for creating, developing, and monitoring MAD’s social media across several platforms, as well as providing editorial and administrative support to the communications team.

We’re looking for someone with great communication skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for hospitality, who wants to become part of a small and ambitious team dedicated to transforming the restaurant industry and driving change in food systems. This is a part-time position (15-20 hours) based in Copenhagen.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Write social media posts and other copy that conform to MAD’s voice and standards
  • Plan, create, and maintain a regular schedule of posts across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Explore and evaluate opportunities for expanding MAD’s presence on YouTube and Tiktok
  • Support the Communications team with its publication, fundraising, branding, and media outreach work
  • Assist in the preparation of materials such as the monthly newsletter, press releases, informational documents, etc.
  • Monitor MAD’s general information email account and respond to inquiries


Qualifications

  • Student (currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree) with relevant professional experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Native-level fluency in written and spoken English. Danish an asset
  • Creativity, with the ability to regularly generate new ideas
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for and knowledge of food, the restaurant industry, and food systems issues
  • Fluency and excellent writing and proofreading skills in English and Danish
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of Adobe, Figma, and other design software a plus
