MAD Monday Los Angeles

A conversation about closing the loop and creating the food systems of the future.

Together with Audi, MAD is delighted to present MAD Monday LA—an evening of dialogue and community around vital food topics that shape the world we live in. For the first time ever in Los Angeles, MAD’s conversation series brings together food lovers and members of the hospitality industry with a mission to inspire, empower, and enable positive change.

The featured speaker will be Douglas McMaster, chef and owner of Silo London, the world’s first zero-waste restaurant. A member of MAD Academy’s visiting faculty, McMaster is an author and noted public speaker on the future of food. MAD Monday LA will mark the first time he is presenting in the United States. The event will include a practical skill–building exercise led by MAD Academy director Magnus Nilsson and program manager Jack Muirhead. This workshop provides MAD Monday guests with an exclusive peek at the transformative exercises typically reserved for students of MAD Academy’s five-day programs.

After the presentation, we invite you to stay for a reception featuring drinks and snacks from some of LA’s most exciting culinary talents.

Applications will also be open for the LA Scholars Award presented by Audia scholarship program providing six Los Angeles-based hospitality change-makers with the opportunity to attend MAD Academy in Copenhagen this fall. Find more information here.
