Below you’ll find the requirements for Spring 2021 enrollment and scholarships. Read about our programs here.
Who can apply?
Anyone pursuing a career in hospitality, but most of our students have 5-10 years of professional experience.
Applications will remain open until 5:00pm CET Monday 25 January 2021. We will be in touch with all applicants no later than end of March.
There are two ways for you to fund your spot with us, either by regular enrollment or through one of our scholarships.
We believe that driving positive change in our industry is a mutual commitment between organizations like ours, business owners, and people working in hospitality.
As an employee, consider asking your employer if they are willing to support you. If you don’t privately have the assets to pay for tuition, and cannot otherwise fund your position, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship placement.
All our scholarships are based on need. We trust you to understand that applying for and accepting a scholarship you don’t actually need will deprive a colleague who would not be able to attend MAD Academy without financial support.
DKK 37,500 ex. Danish VAT. Fee includes teaching, course materials and all breakfast and lunch meals during the course.
All students are expected to organize their own flights to Copenhagen, accommodations, and pocket money.

The MAD Academy offers a series of scholarship placements for all its programs. Our ambition is to create positive change across the entire hospitality industry, and the world. Scholarships are selected with this in mind. We get many more applications each year than we have places. Candidates are selected based on perceived need for direct financial support and their ability and intent to create real change as expressed in their written application.
Scholarships will cover tuition fees, food costs (five breakfasts and five lunches), and learning materials for the week. These students are also responsible for arranging their flights, accommodation, and pocket money.
The MAD Academy Scholarship
Supported by the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark (Miljø- og Fødevarministeriet) and private donations, these scholarships are available to anyone pursuing hospitality as their career, from anywhere in the world.
The Institute of Culinary Education Scholarship

ICE is one of the largest and most diverse culinary schools in the world with campuses in New York City and Los Angeles, offering a range of diploma programs that can be completed in under a year. This scholarship is available to a single applicant who has graduated from ICE and is pursuing a career in the culinary and hospitality field. It may be applied to any of the Spring 2021 programs.
